Wa Yassin Juniors FC finally joins Ghana Division I league


The Upper West Regional Division Two league came to an end on Wednesday at the Wa sports stadium, to determine who represents the Region in this year’s Division One League.


A misconduct from Wa United Left back, Sunabuo Magnus on 3rd minutes in the first half at the penalty box of the We Believe Boy, paved way for Yassin Junior to realize their dream.


The referee took a penalty for Yassin which Theophilus converted as goal, and led his side to the long time dream comes through.


Yaasin Juniors tie 11 points with Wa United in the Middle league table and same head to head, which calls for organizing playoff by the RFA in a neutral ground to determine the Champion in accordance to GFA regulations, to represent the region in the 2021/2022 Division One league.


Six teams participated in the middle, Wa United. Yaasin Juniors, Sombo Freedom Stars, Ziko Babies, Happy Stars and Kpujinang FC.


Two clubs will be participating in the Ghana National Division One League 2021/22 season which kicks off on the 11th of November this year.
