Wa Naa Congratulates President-Elect John Mahama, Urges economic revival

Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, the overlord of the Waala State, has congratulated John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect, on his victory in the December 7 general election.

The Wa Naa, speaking through his Secretary, Jimpenhi Naa, Kadir Ibrahim, on Monday, December 23, 2024, stated that the former president's re-election is an indication that Ghanaians believed in his message.

“Ghanaians voted overwhelmingly to return Your Excellency Napogbakole Naa John Dramani Mahama to the Presidency of the country. This was not by accident. It was a calculated action based on their experience of your service in that position before as well as their belief in the plausibility of your campaign message.

“We are taking this opportunity to congratulate Your Excellency Napogbakole Naa John Dramani Mahama on your resounding victry at the 7th December elections, the type of which has never been recorded in the country. Ghanaians have not only reposed their full trust in you, but have also demonstrated it in a very clear and unambiguous way,” he stated.

The Wa Naa expressed belief in Mr Mahama’s ability to change the economic fortunes from its current state. He admonished the president-elect to be guided by past experience on the seat and the overwhelming endorsement by Ghanaians.

“While congratulating you, Your Excellency, for this remarkable feat, we are confident that you will meet the expectations of Ghanaians. We know you will be guided by your own past experience on the seat as well as the reasons for which Ghanaians gave you this overwhelming endorsement.”

“We are not oblivious of the fact that the beginning will be a herculean task as a result of where we are coming from but with your tenacity of purpose, backed by the good will of Ghanaians, you will ride the storm successfully,” the Wa Naa added.
