Member of Parliament for the Wa East Constituency, Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw has urged the government to allocate budget for maintenance of potable water sources in the country.
Speaking on Info Radio’s Te Zine Yiri Yela, the Wa East legislator said water crises is a serious challenge in his constituency and need to be addressed.
Dr. Jasaw therefore urges the government to allocate budget for maintenance of existing water sources whenever the need arises.
According to him, this will save residents of the communities the hurdle of contributing all the time to maintain their boreholes.
Dr. Jasaw, who is also the Deputy Ranking member of the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs calls on religious bodies and corporate organizations to also assist communities solve their water challenges when they are called upon.
