The Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) Division Two League entered its 16th match day with exciting fixtures across three zones. While some matches produced thrilling results, others were marred by the absence of teams.
Zone One
Maana FC secured a 2-1 away victory against AIP SC, while Exponential FC edged Kalibi SC 2-1. Wa United FC put on a dominant display, beating Discipline Youth FC 4-2. Meanwhile, NSB FC and Real Nadowli United played out a goalless draw.
Young Hippos FC was set to face Dark Horses FC, but the latter failed to show up, resulting in an unplayed fixture.
Zone Two
Sombo Freedom Stars earned a narrow 1-0 victory over Young Heroes FC. Suntaa SC displayed an attacking master class, thrashing Soccer ICONS 4-1.
However, three matches in this zone did not take place as scheduled. Mangu FC failed to show up for their home fixture against Biyad77 Stars, JSB FC’s match against Ziko Babies FC was left unplayed due to the away team’s absence, and Super Upper Stars pulled out of the league, leading to the cancellation of their fixture against TF Exponential FC.
Zone Three
Kpujinang FC registered a commanding 3-0 victory over Kulfuo Dreams FC, while Gandawii Stars and Malima FC settled for a 1-1 draw. Soccer Babies and Hilla Stars played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Eva Stars were on a bye for this matchday.
The league continues to face challenges with teams failing to turn up, but the competition remains fierce as clubs battle for promotion.
