The Upper West Regional Chapter of the Bawku Senior High School Old Students Association (BOSA) has held a reunion meeting on the 5th December, 2021. As part of the agenda, the election of executives was featured high. The house deliberated, nominated and elected 7 distinguished personalities for a two-year tenure, starting December, 2021 to November, 2023.
Hon. Alhaji Abdul Aziz Gado a former Municipal Chief Executive of the Wa Municipal Assembly and a member of the 1973 year group was elected president. He will be assisted by a security expert Mr. Ben Suuri of the 1974/76 year's group as the Vice president. Mr. Tahiru Lukman (Alias Prof) the Chief Executive Officer of Ideapath Consult and a member of the 2004 year group was also elected the regional secretary. A public Health Nurse and 2005 year group member Mr. Asaana Alhassan Mustapha Wa was elected the vice secretary.
Other executive members were; Mr. Mohammed Ismail (1986 year group) was elected as Organiser and Salifu Ali of Big Ali Enterprise and 2006 year group was elected the vice organizer. The position of treasurer went to Mr. Siddique Mohammed while a female member will later be elected as vice treasurer.
The meetings had in attendance the following persons as well Mr. Nawadi Ali (Senior Public Health Specialist and 1978 year group), Yaro Paul Binbikin (Security Personnel & 1993 group), Abdul Rahim Babamu (Business Enterpreneur and 2006), Abdul Nasser Seidu (1972 Year group), Abdulai Yakubu (1974 year group) and Abubakari Yussif (1974). The rest of the Members present were Agumah Ali Ibrahim (1994), Alhassan Senaa (1974), D.D. Salifu (1975) and Khalid Hissan (1976 year group).
The house has also made the following distinguished personalities patrons of the association. His Excellency Ambassador Khalid Mahmud (former Upper West Regional Minister and 1971 year group), Naa Kele a Traditional ruler and 1971 year group), Hon. Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomen (Wa Municipal Chief Executive and 1995 year group). Next meeting for the association is schedule for 23rd January, 2023.
Overall 20 members out of the identified 34 members and counting attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Ambassador Khalid Mahmud with Tahiru Lukman as the Master of the Ceremony (MC).
