Upper West Region set to host prestigious MBC Africa Agrifest 2025

The Upper West Region is gearing up to host the prestigious MBC Africa Agrifest 2025, from 30th to 31st January 2025 at the Dellagio Hotel in Wa, the regional capital.

 

The MBC Africa Agribusiness Festival is a premier event that brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, transaction advisors, and academia, all united by a shared vision: to create a thriving agricultural ecosystem that ensures Africa can feed itself.

 

This innovative festival serves as a dynamic networking platform, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among individuals from various backgrounds and experiences. By connecting the dots between key stakeholders in the food value chain, the Agribusiness Festival aims to enhance food security in West Africa and beyond.

 

The primary objective of the festival is to provide a catalyst for sustainable growth in the agricultural sector, by linking entrepreneurs, farmers, and businesses with the resources they need to succeed. This includes access to finance, markets, technology, and expertise, ultimately driving economic growth, job creation, and improved livelihoods for rural communities.

 

The MBC Africa Agrifest 2025 which will be held on the theme “Human Capital: The Success Factor in Agribusiness” aims to tackle a major challenge most businesses in Africa face: access to a quality workforce to drive growth and unlock funding.

 

The two-day event will also feature an expert panel discussion on topics such as Skills development in Ghana: A gap between demand and Supply, Sustainable financing for agribusiness, How to instill a culture of excellence in your organization and a pitch session.
