The newly elected Member of Parliament for the Sissala East Constituency, Issa Mohammed Bataglia, has highlighted his accomplishments in the area, even before taking office.
In an interview with Info Radio, Mr. Bataglia proudly shared his achievements, showcasing his commitment to the community's development.
As a private individual, Mr. Bataglia has spearheaded various developmental projects and initiatives in Sissala East and the Upper West Region. He emphasized that his contributions have positively impacted the communities, leaving a lasting legacy.
“My track record has proven, as a private individual who through my NGO, has made a very audacious impact in almost all the communities. Most of the communities that you visit; you will see my conspicuous footprints there trying to make life easy for the people. Of course for the past 15 years my name is synonymous to health promotion.
“I have been able to do things that transcend my constituency. As I’m talking to you, I’ve been able to acquire some kind of medical supplies and equipment that I want to donate to the regional hospital. That’s not my constituency, but I think that we should be able to extend things to wherever human beings are and seeking that kind of support,” Mr Bataglia stated.
Mr. Bataglia has unseated the incumbent Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, who had entered Parliament after winning the 2020 elections.
The newly-elected MP expressed that his victory is a sigh of relief for the Sissala East constituency. He emphasized that the votes he received indicated the people's belief in him and their hope that he could bring development to the area.
“Today, if you ask me of the feeling, to me is a sigh of relief not just for me as the one who has emerged as the winner of this election but also for most of the entire constituency.”
