Residents of Sabuli in the Jirapa Municipality are at their wit's end due to the woefully inadequate telephone network that's crippling their ability to make calls and access the internet.
"We're forced to live like we're in the Stone Age," lamented Mr. Didas, a frustrated resident.
"We have to wait for the 'network gods' to smile on us before we can make a simple call. It's like living in a digital darkness."
The unreliable network has become a constant source of distress for the community, with residents often rising before dawn to try and catch a signal.
"I've lost count of how many important calls I've missed because of this wretched network," said Mr. Didas. "It's like being cut off from the rest of the world."
The Assembly member for Sabuli, Mr. Stephen Kunbaa echoed the community's concerns, stating, "The poor network coverage is a major hindrance to our development. We're struggling to access basic services, and it's affecting our livelihoods."
Mr. Kunbaa also highlighted the shortage of teachers at the community school, saying, "Our children's education is suffering because of this. It's a double blow to our community, and we need the government's urgent attention."
The community is holding onto hope that their plight will be addressed soon, bringing them the relief they desperately need.
"We just want to be connected to the world like everyone else," said Mr. Didas. "Is that too much to ask?"
