The United Cadres Front, a pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) group has called on President John Dramani Mahama to revoke the appointment of Rev. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko’s appointment as Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA).

The group in a press release signed by its National Chairman, Comcadre Shine Gaveh alleged that Rev. Fianko is a card bearing member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

They also claimed that Rev. Fianko had a hand in the closure of pro-NDC radio stations including Radio Gold and Muntie Fm.

“Furthermore, with an NPP member taking that appointment would mean continuing the diabolical works of Joseph Anokye, who was specifically brought in from the USA to help the NPP win the 2016 elections,” the group added.

“Another appointment that is allegedly handed to another pro-NPP person is that of the Commissioner - General of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in the name of one Mr. Anthony Sarpong, needs to be seriously considered for immediate revocation.”

“We strongly advise that the mole or moles in NDC who have a hand in this anti-party appointments need to be exposed,” the statement added.
