Residents of Yeliyiri in the Vieri Electoral Area of the Wa West District appealed to the government and benevolent entities to improve infrastructural development in the community.
They lamented about the lack of roads, electricity and health facility which affect social life.
In an interview with Info Radio at the community, Mr Doltaa Micheal a resident of the community said, the lack of health facility in the community is affecting antenatal care and health delivery.
He added that sometimes their babies pass on when it is an emergency to access healthcare immediately, especially during the night because they do not have a CHPS compound in the community.
Madam Seozuma Saanuuri also lamented that they are close to Vieri but they do not have electricity to operate any business and have to trek to Vieri to charge their phones.
She said that they could have also engaged in business if there is light in the community.
The residents, therefore, called on the government through the Wa West District Assembly to come to their urgent aid.
