Residents of Wa Municipality Share Expectations with President Mahama

Following President John Dramani Mahama's successful inauguration ceremony at the Black Star Square in Accra on January 7, 2025, residents of Wa Municipality have been vocal about their expectations from the new administration.

In an interview with Info Radio, some residents appealed to President Mahama to prioritize reducing the prices of goods and services.

"We are hoping that President Mahama will take immediate action to reduce the prices of goods and services," said one resident.

"The current prices are unbearable, and we believe that the government can do something to alleviate our suffering."

Another pressing concern for residents is the deplorable state of roads in the region.

"We expect President Mahama to work on our roads. The roads are in a terrible state, affecting our daily lives. We hope that the government will prioritize road construction and maintenance,” said another resident.

Some residents expect President Mahama to review the free senior high school policy.

"We appreciate the free SHS policy, but we believe it needs to be improved," said a concerned parent.

"The food given to the students is not good enough, and the furniture is also in a bad state. We hope that President Mahama will address these issues and also create employment opportunities for graduates."

President Mahama's inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries from across the continent, including 21 heads of state, three vice presidents, four ministers, and 24 diplomats.

In his inaugural address, President Mahama pledged to work tirelessly to address the challenges facing the country.
