Residents of Tuori in the Tuori-Dakpaa Electoral Area of the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District have appealed for support to build a maternity ward to improve healthcare delivery in the community.
Speaking in an interview with Info Radio, Unit Committee Member and resident of the community, Mr. Blaise Kpieobaaree said the community members have already mobilized resources and laid a number of blocks for the project.
He said they need the support of the government and benevolent people to support the completion of the project.
Mr Kpieobaaree explained the heath of every person is paramount and therefore should be well taken care of.
He however bemoaned the belligerent attitude of authorities especially politicians towards addressing their health challenges.
He said the health facility in the community is bedeviled with a myriad of issues including insufficiency of accouterments.
The residents, therefore, appealed to the government through the DBI District Assembly to come to their aid.
