Residents of Sogla, a community in the Tuasaa Electoral Area of the Wa East District, have bemoaned the inadequate water supply in their community.
They said out of four boreholes sunk in the community, only two are functional, serving the entire community population.
Mr Malik, a resident of the community told Info Radio in an interview at the community that there is so much pressure on the two functional boreholes at the as the population of the community outweighs the existing boreholes.
He explained that all the non-functional boreholes were usually sunk during the rainy season and these boreholes mostly stop flowing in the dry season.
Madam Amamata, another resident, recounted that the women and children at the community face a lot of challenges due to the inadequate number of boreholes.
She appeal for additional boreholes at the community to help reduce their constraints in accessing potable water at the community.
