The residents made call in an interview with Info Radio at the community while they bemoaned the difficulties they face in accessing healthcare services in the community.
A resident of the community, Gariba Raphael explained that they walk long distance to access health care in a nearby community, a situation he described as worrisome.
Mr Gariba added that pregnant women, children and the aged suffer the most since they have to feebly trek long hours to seek antenatal and general health care services.
Another resident, Awileba Gabriel noted that, the Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly started the construction of a health facility at the community in 2016 which is near completion.
He however said works on the facility have come to a standstill for unknown reasons.
He noted efforts by the Assembly Member for the area to get the contractor back to site has proved unsuccessful.
Felicia Mbawu, who is also a resident of the community, reiterated that majority of residents have no means of transport to the nearest health facility, thereby posing a major challenge to their health.
She therefore appeal to the government for immediate consideration.
