Residents of Nyose in the Sigri Electoral Area of the Wa West District have expressed concerns over the lack of a Kindergarten School at the community.
Speaking in an interview with Info Radio at the community, a resident, Mr Manu Bongtoboya said that Nyose lacks a Kindergarten which has rendered most of their children no access to formal education.
He noted that the four-year olds cannot walk to the nearby communities where they could attain KGs education thereby, bringing to the fore the need to establish a KG in the community.
Another resident, Elli Yangta also noted that the need for Kindergarten in the community has become necessary to save their little children the strss and risk of travelling to other ‘distant’ communities for schooling.
He added that during the rainy season, it becomes extremely impossible the children to go to school due the bad nature of the road.
Frustrating of it all, he said, was when the children struggled and arrived the school and there was no teacher to handle them.
The residents therefore appealed to the Wa West District Assembly, Education Directorate and benevolent organizations to come to their assistance.
