Residents of Niiri in the Takpo-Tuori Electoral Area in the Nadowli-Kaleo District have appealed to the government to provide them with electricity.
According to the residents, the lack of electricity in the community affects their children's academic performance and their businesses.
Speaking to Info Radio at the community, Mr Tampaa Benjamin, a resident, said the lack of electricity in the community hinders formal education because their children do not get lights to learn and teachers do not stay in the community.
Another resident of the community, Mr Francis Yemeh, lamented that they have to go to Takpo to charge their phones on daily basis.
He added that the lack of electricity affects development.
The residents, therefore, appealed to the government to come to their aid by connecting the community to the national electricity grid.
