Residents Demand Action as Chagu-Bulenga Road Remains in Deplorable State

Writer: Info Radio Info Radio

The Chagu-Bulenga road in the Wa East District remains in a deplorable state, posing a serious challenge to the people who commute on that road.

This has a significant impact on the socio-economic livelihood and timely access to secondary healthcare services for the people in Chagu and neighboring communities, especially in times of emergency.

In an interview with Info Radio in the community, Mr. Ibrahim Yelsung and Salim Bawa expressed that the road continues to cause them inconveniences as it has done over the years.

"The road is in a deplorable state, and we want the government to work on it for us. During the rainy season, vehicles get stuck on the road, making it very difficult to use. We have heard several promises from politicians about working on this road, but there has been no improvement."

The residents appealed to the Wa East District Assembly, asking for assistance in improving the road to enhance transportation convenience for them.

Meanwhile, the people of Chagu are appealing for more support to enable them to complete a community-initiated health facility that they started more than three years ago.  They have made progress in the building process but are yet to complete it.
