The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the interdiction of Adams Mahama Issahaku, headmaster of Piina Senior High School (SHS).
The interdiction directive, which came from the Director General of the GES, is in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations of food items found in his official vehicle on Thursday, February 6, 2025, on his way from Piina to Wa.
A letter signed by Mr Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, the Upper West Regional Director of the GES stated that Mr Issahaku’s interdiction takes effect immediately.
The 7th February letter emphasized that the interdiction is a procedural measure and does not amount to a presumption of guilt.
As part of the directive, Mr Issahaku has been instructed to hand over the school property and administration to the Upper West Regional Director of the GES. He has also been directed to cooperate with the investigation by making himself available when needed.
The GES assured the public that it is going to conduct a thorough investigation, and Mr Issahaku will be notified of the findings and any subsequent decisions.
