Some parents of children who school at the Holomuni Basic School in the Wa East District are worried about the state of infrastructure of the only school in the community.
They said it lacks good and adequate structures including furniture.
Speaking to Info Radio at the community, Adams K. Nuhu said the development of the school is stagnated by the lack of basic infrastructure coupled with inadequate and serious teachers
He said the community built the Junior High School (JHS) on their own, but said that the building has become dilapidated.
He said it has resulted in the kindergarten (KG) ceding their classrooms to the JHS thereby leaving the KG with no class to operate from.
Ibrahim Sakara also said the teachers do not have accommodation in the community.
He added that some of the teachers live in pairs in the few rooms that have been provided to them.
He intimated that the situation does not make the teachers motivated to live in the community.
