NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Lawra Nominates Former Rival As Campaign Team Member


The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Lawra Constituency Mr. Bede Ziedeng has called onto his campaign team former parliamentary candidate for the Lawra constituency Hon. Samson Abu ahead of the 2020 elections.


Mr. Bede Ziedeng called on Samson Abu to join his campaign when the flag bearer of the party John Dramani Mahama paid a working visit to the lawra constituency.

According to the NDC Lawra parliamentary candidate, the services of the former NDC parliamentary candidate is needed to wrestle the parliamentary seat from the NPP candidate in the constituency.


In the presence of the NDC flag bearer and party faithful in the Lawra constituency, the former NDC lawmaker accepted the invitation of the Mr. Bede Ziedeng to help and support the NDC campaign in the constituency.


Hon. Samson Abu contested Mr. Bede Ziedeng in the 2016 general elections as an independent candidate after he lost the party’s parliamentary primaries, the move according to analyst led to the NDC losing the parliamentary seat to the New Patriotic Party.


Hon. Samson Abu was later suspended from NDC party alongside his colleague Farouk Bandanaa from Wa West District for going independent against the wish of the party.
