Mr Fredrick Amora, a Unit Committee Chairman for Loho Electoral Area in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, has expressed concerns over the inadequate sources of water supply in Loho.
He said in an interview with Info Radio that, school children at the New Loho community have to wake up between the hours of 4:00 to 5:00 Am to search for water before they can go to school.
He said this is as a result of the inadequate sources of potable water at community, which had compelled to resident, especially women and children, to struggle for water on daily basis.
Mr Amora said this in an interview with Info Radio Loho and added that the children got to the school tired and were unable to participate actively in the academic activities.
Mr Benjamin Kobina Kunfiri Bukari, the Assembly Member for the area, noted that though the water pipelines from the Jambussie water project passed through the community, it was not extended into the community.
