Naa Mumuni Abu, the Chief of Baalaayiri in the Wa East District says the deplorable nature of their roads is hindering economic activities in the community.
In an interview with Info Radio at the community, Naa Abu said that they are unable to transport their farm produce to storage and market centers due to the bad nature of their roads.
He said the situation becomes worse in the rainy season where the road gets muddy, preventing vehicles from moving in and out of the community.
He also told Info Radio that there are no accessible roads linking the community and other adjoining communities such as ‘nearby’ Loggu to trade.
Naa Mumuni Abu therefore called for the support of authorities to make their roads accessible to prevent post-harvest losses.
