Assembly Member for Gudaayiri Electoral Area, Francis Bengogpuo Pintu has called for stakeholders support to promote development in the area and alleviate the suffering of the people.
He made the call in an interview with Info Radio while responding to some developmental issues at Gogi, a community in the electoral area, where he lamented that most stakeholders do not even know that Gogi is part of the Wa East District, misconstruing it for Wa Municipal.
Talking about the drinking water situation at Gogi, the Assembly Member said the problem would have been solved last year but for inappropriate citing of a borehole at a lower water table area in the community.
He added that another borehole that has broken requires huge capital to repair which could better be used to replace with a new one.
Meanwhile, he said members of the Assembly have presented issues within their electoral areas to the Member of Parliament, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw for redress.
He however pleaded with his electorates to exercise patience as processes are worked out for the Assembly to have a Chief Executive (DCE).
