The Jirapa Area Youth and Development Association (JAYDA) has called on the public to assist investigators of the alleged murder incident of the later Mr Eric Johnson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Royal Cozy Hills Hotel to ensure the perpetrators of the crime are apprehended and punished per the laws of the country.
The group said in a statement that they hope that all persons who have information relating to the matter, no matter how remote, will volunteer same to the Investigating Agencies.
The statement, jointly signed by Mr Musah W. Cheyuo and Mr Sebastian Languon, the National President and National Secretary of JAYDA respectively, also urged the Investigative Agencies to expedite action to ensure all persons found culpable were prosecuted for justice to take its course and served expeditiously.
While condemning the act in no uncertain terms, the statement expressed content that the suspects were so far being taken through the due legal process by arraigning them before the court while investigations continued.
It, thus, called on the people of Jirapa and all affected persons to remain calm while the investigative agencies did their work.
The late CEO of the Royal Cozy Hills Hotel, popularly known as “Jirapa Dubai”, Mr Eric Johnson, was gruesomely murdered at his private residence in Jirapa.
Seven suspects had so far been arrested and two of them had been granted Police enquiry bail while five had been remanded into Police custody.
