Goil Reduces It's Fuel Prices

Ghana’s indigenous oil marketing company Goil has reduced its fuel price from 6.99 to 6.85 in all its service stations across the country following the constant increasing of fuel prices in the country.

Fuel prices in Ghana have consistently seen a steady increase since the beginning of the year, sparking fears that consumers may end the year paying an all-time high rate per litre.

While many Ghanaian have already and continued to express their displeasure over the fast increasing prices at the pumps, things do not appear to look better in the short to medium term.

Speaking to the Zonal Manager of GOIL northern Ghana Mr. Musah Abubakari on Info Radio morning program Zienyaanye Upper West, he said the decision to reduce the prices at Goil pump stations was to cushion their customers against the increasing fuel prices they have been experiencing for the past months.

According to him, before they could take that decision, they critically compared the marketers’ margin and dealer’s margin and realized that they can reduce their customers’ burden by taken out 0.14 pesewas from 6.99 per litre to enable customers buy more fuel from their pumps to run their day to day activities. Mr. Abubakari indicated that management and board of directors of Goil therefore expect their customers to patronize their quality products with the coming into effect of marginal price reduction on November 23rd 2021.

Mr. Abubakari also stated that GOIL Upper West has launched its Aseda Promo to reward its cherished customers in in Wa for their loyalty and patronage of the company’s products and services over the years. He said GOIL is giving out free fuel and souvenirs to customers who buy from any of its stations in the Upper West Region till the end of the year. He added that, starting from 25th November, 2021 all consumers who wants to receive gifts from GOIL can buy fuel from the GOIL Bamahu station to receive exciting prizes from them.

The Zonal Manager of GOIL however encouraged motorists to take advantage of the promo and said, “When you get to any GOIL station and you buy fuel or lubricant, ask for your gift.”
