FDA holds nine lessons and carols in Wa

The Upper West Regional Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has held a festival of nine lessons and carols with a call on the staff of the authority and members of the public to draw lessons from the verses of the nine lessons.

It said it is not just enough to read the verses and listen to the hymns and end it there but to make use of the messages of the quotations and the songs.

Mr Kelvin Dafaari, the Acting Upper West Regional Head of the FDA who said this at the event, added that showing love to one another during this Christmas season is very important and urged the public to identify people who need love in order to show them the love, care and affection they need.

Mr Dafaari indicated that the FDA had been observing the Festival of None Lessons and Carols since 2019 in order to ask for forgiveness from the people the authority might have offended in the course of executing it duties and well as to bring together other stakeholders they work with to thank God for a successful year.

Reverend Father Barnabas of the St. Andrews Catholic Cathedral noted that the Christmas festive season should be an occasion for people to show love to each other.

The Power Voices Choir from the St. Andrews Catholic Cathedral provided carols to make the occasion a success.
