Dr. Jasaw vows to retain Wa East seat with 14,000-vote margin

The Member of Parliament and 2024 National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Wa East Constituency, Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw, has stated that the NDC aims to maintain the Wa East seat with a 14,000 votes difference.

He made the ambitious declaration on Saturday during the launch of the NDC Upper West Regional Campaign for the 2024 elections in Wa.

He noted that in the 2020 elections, the NDC won the elections in the constituency with a margin of 7000 votes and is determined to double the margin in the December polls.

“We beat the NPP with 7000 votes in 2020, this year we want to beat them with 14,000 votes,” he emphasized.

He mentioned that the next NDC government, under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama, will open farmer services centres in all districts. These centres will make farm inputs and tractor services available to farmers.

The farmers will register for these inputs on credit and pay after harvesting. He added that the government will also open factories to process and add value to farm produce for export.
