CPI opens applications for 2025 Igniting Dreams Fellowship to empower young entrepreneurs in Northern Ghana

The Coalition for Positive Impact (CPI) has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 Igniting Dreams Fellowship, its flagship business development program aimed at nurturing the next generation of young entrepreneurs in Northern Ghana.

Now entering its seventh edition, the Igniting Dreams (ID) Fellowship has become a cornerstone for fostering innovation, leadership, and economic growth across the region.

A Legacy of Impact and Innovation.

Since its inception, the Igniting Dreams Fellowship has empowered over 1,700 young people, providing seed funding to 40 promising entrepreneurs and creating more than 300 job opportunities.

In a communiqué, CPI said the program offers a comprehensive package of leadership training, mentorship, seed funding, and business development support to help young entrepreneurs scale their businesses and drive social progress.

Founder and President of CPI, Maazu Bayuoni said “The Igniting Dreams Fellowship is more than just a program; it's a movement that has transformed the entrepreneurial landscape of Northern Ghana. We are proud to have nurtured talent and supported innovative ideas that are creating jobs and making a difference in our communities.”

Program Highlights for 2025

The 2025 Igniting Dreams Fellowship promises an even more dynamic experience for its participants. The program begins with a competitive selection process to identify the most promising young entrepreneurs.

Selected fellows will embark on a two-month intensive virtual training session from October to December 2024, designed to refine their business models and strategies. This will be followed by a one-week physical boot camp in Wa, where participants will gain hands-on experience and insights from established industry leaders.

The fellowship will culminate in a two-day conference and pitch event where finalists present their business ideas to a panel of potential investors and business leaders. The top five fellows will receive additional six-month accelerator training to enhance their skills and position their businesses to attract further investment.

Call for Applications

CPI invites all young entrepreneurs in Northern Ghana to apply for the 2025 Igniting Dreams Fellowship. "If you are a young entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and a desire to make a positive impact, this is your chance to turn your dreams into reality," Maazu Bayuoni added.

Applications are open until September 30, 2024, and available at https://cpimpact.org/ignitingdreams.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must be between the ages of 15 to 35 and have established a business within the last three years that operates primarily in Northern Ghana or hail from any of the five regions in Northern Ghana. The business should have the potential to create jobs and positively impact society, regardless of industry.

Participants must be available for virtual training from October to December 2024 and a physical boot camp in Wa in December 2024. The program strongly encourages applications from young women and persons with disabilities to ensure diverse representation.

A Call for Partners and Investors

CPI also calls upon partners, stakeholders, and investors to support this initiative by providing mentorship, funding, and strategic guidance to these young entrepreneurs. "Your support is crucial in fostering the next generation of business leaders who will drive economic growth and social progress in Northern Ghana," the communiqué emphasized.
