Community Members task themselves to build a health facility for community


Residents of Kaluri in the Nadowli-Kaleo District have assigned themselves to contribute money in order to build health facility at their community.


In an interview with Info Radio at the community, Mr. Sielaa Naa, a resident, said residents find it difficulty in accessing primary healthcare services because of the lack of health facility at the community.


He disclosed that, the community has decided to mobilize their own resources both in cash and kind to provide the health facility for themselves.


The former Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Vincent Baaladong bemoaned that, pregnant women have to trek to Sakana or Kaleo to access health delivery services.


He therefore appealed to the government and benevolent individuals to come to their aid.


Another resident, Madam Fati recounted an awful experience of how she delivered her baby on the way to Sakana health facility as result of the lack of health facility at the community.


She therefore appealed to authorities and benevolent organizations to help the community with a health facility to enable them ease of access to timely healthcare services.
