School children in Ladaateng of the Buli Electoral Area in the Wa West District are unable to attend school during the rainy season due to poor nature of roads, residents say.
They lamented their children’s inability to access education at Woloyiri where their children attend school.
This was disclosed by the residents in an interview with Info Radio at the community.
According to the residents, this is because the road that links Ladaateng to Woloyiri has been cut off by rainwater.
They said the state of the road has also affected the economic activities of the people as they are unable to access market centres at Lassie and Wechaiu.
They said the road from Vieri to Ladaateng has been cut off, and between Ladaateng and Lassie lies a broken bridge which also cut them from accessing the Lassie Senior High School and the Vieri market.
They said their lives are at risk as they would not be able to access healthcare services at Wechiau when the need arises.
They thus appealed to the government to intervene.
