Naa Osman Adamu, the Chief of Baalabui in the Nyoli Traditional Area, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Wa West District Assembly and the government to take immediate action in constructing a public toilet in Nyoli town.
This urgent request comes in light of the town’s growing population of traders and visitors, particularly during market days, when thousands flock to the area.
Speaking at a community gathering with Info Radio, Naa Osman Adamu expressed concern over the lack of sanitary facilities.
“The absence of a public toilet in Nyoli town is a pressing issue that we can no longer overlook. Our commercial activities attract many strangers and visitors, and the current situation forces them to seek out unsuitable places, such as bushes or ucompleted buildings, to relieve themselves.”
In addition to his plea for the construction of public toilets, Naa Osman Adamu also urged the Department of Agriculture to provide support for local farmers who have faced devastating losses due to a recent dry spell.
Naa Osman Adamu's dual appeal underscores the pressing need for both sanitation and agricultural support in Nyoli, a commercial hub within the Wa West District.
As the local government and relevant stakeholders consider his requests, the Chief remains hopeful for favorable outcomes that will enhance the living conditions of his people and protect their economic activities.
