The Assembly Member for Siiru Electoral Area, Wa West District, Mr Richard Wulo, has mobilized his electorates to rebuild their broken bridge while soliciting the support of benevolent individuals and organizations.
According to the Assembly Member, the current state of the dam has affected farmers and also affected businessmen and women because they are cut off from accessing Wa Market.
He added that the broken bridge has affected teachers who commute on the road to teach because they cannot cross whenever it rains.
The Assemblyman thus applauded the people in the electoral area for their commitment to the work.
He urged them to continue engaging themselves while appealing to benevolent organizations to come to their aid.
Mr Kassim Nomaa, a resident of Siiru lamented that the government had neglected them ever since the dam broke its boundaries.
He noted that the communities contributed money to buy some 40 bags of cement and iron rods.
Madam Ngminebong Ngminuba, a farmer said their tomatoes have rotted due to the broken bridge and most of their farm produce is destroyed because they cannot access Wa market.
