Assembly Member Donates 60 Dual Chairs to Support Schools in Issa


Mr. Ernest Kansangabata, Assembly Member for the Issa Electoral Area in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa district, has donated 60 dual desks to All Saints and Issa Roman Catholic Primary and Junior High Schools to address a critical shortage of furniture in the schools.

 

The donation was made possible with the support of the District Chief Executive, Mr Imoro Nadi Sanda.

 

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Kansangabata revealed that the gesture was in response to an appeal made by the leadership of the schools.

 

He said the school authorities expressed concern over the inadequate furniture, which has been a challenge for both teachers and students. He added that he applied to the DCE to help him with the chairs to support the schools to improve teaching and learning.  He commended the DCE for his timely response to his appeal for support.

 

On his part, the Headmaster of Issa RC Junior High School, Mr. Donmic Dabuo, expressed gratitude to the assembly member for the timely intervention. He said the donation will greatly enhance the learning environment for the students.

 

However, he laments the school still face numerous challenges and call on other benevolent individuals and organizations to support them in addressing these pressing needs.

 

He revealed the school has been grappling with furniture shortages, affecting the comfort and performance of students. The donation of the dual desks is expected to ease these challenges and improve the quality of education in the area.
