Assembly Member applauds MP for supporting students in his Electoral Area

The Assembly Member for Kpaaru-daa Electoral Area in the Lawra Municipality of the Upper West Region, Mr. James Luanteng has applauded the Member of Parliament for the Lawra constituency, Lawyer Bede Anwataazumo Ziedeng, for supporting in part payment of school fees for some students into tertiary institutions.


According to the Assembly Member, the MP supported seven students in the electoral area to enter tertiary institutions to further their education.


Speaking to Info Radio in Wa, Mr. James Luanteng said each student received an amount of GHC1, 000.00 to pay their school fees.


He thus, expressed his profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the support to assist students in his electoral area to get access to tertiary education.


On the part of health, the Assembly Member also indicated that, the MP has donated a sum of GHC55,000.00 to renovate Nangyaare CHPS Compound and currently work is ongoing.


However, Mr. Luanteng lamented over the inadequate and dilapidated nature of school infrastructure in the electoral area.


He said all schools in his electoral area need to be renovated because they are in very deplorable states.


The Assembly Member, therefore, appealed to benevolent organizations and individuals to come to their aid with additional structures and renovation of their schools in order to facilitate teaching and in the area.
