Alhaji Hudu Mogtari donates chairs to Zingu Primary School

Alhaji Hudu Mogtari, a parliamentary aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) contesting for the upcoming primaries in the Wa Central constituency of the Upper West Region, has donated 30 mono-chairs to a school in the Zingu community to help improve education in the area.

The donation was made on Tuesday, May 09, 2023, at the Zingu Primary School following parents’ appeal to benevolent organizations to help the school with chairs.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Mogtari stated that the donation was his modest contribution towards providing a conducive learning environment for pupils in the area, adding that education was critical to the development of any society.

According to Alhaji Mogtari, the lack of furniture in schools was a hindrance to education, hence his decision to donate the chairs to the school.

The school was in dire need of furniture, as the students were sitting on floors to observe lessons.

He urged other stakeholders, including the government, to support schools in rural areas to provide quality education for students.

The parliamentary aspirant also called on parents to prioritize their children's education and support teachers to enhance their teaching skills.

The Headteacher of the school, Mr. Zinieta Raymon expressed gratitude to Alhaji Mogtari for his kind gesture, describing it as a timely intervention.

He noted that the school has been facing a furniture deficit, which has affected teaching and learning.

He said the donation of chairs would go a long way to help alleviate the situation.

The pupils in the school also expressed joy and gratitude towards Alhaji Mogtari for his donation, stating that the furniture would improve their comfort and encourage them to study harder.

The donation of chairs by Alhaji Hudu Mogtari has been welcomed by residents in the Zingu community, who see it as a positive step towards improving education in the area.

The donation is expected to motivate other aspirants and stakeholders to support the development of education in rural communities.
