4WARD Development West Africa, a private sector company providing safe and sustainable water services, has commissioned the first NUMA water system for in northern Ghana for the people of Nyoli in the Wa West District.
The initiative, which is under the enhancing of WASH project, is to complement the government’s efforts of providing safe water for the citizens.
Speaking at a ceremony at Nyoli at the weekend to commission the facility, the Regional Director, Upper West and Savannah, Mr Ahmed Yekini said the intervention will also help achieve the SDG 6 which seeks to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
He said 40 household have so far been connected to the water in their homes.
Mr Yekini said their intervention will benefit about 25,000 people in the ten communities were the water facilities will be built.
The Chief Executive Officer of Water4, a partnering water supply entity, Mr Matt Hangen indicated the readiness of the organization in providing water for many people as possible in the regions they are working in.
A former Assembly Member Nyoli Electoral Area, Madam Ayishatu Amadu Tipeani expressed her profound gratitude to the organization for the support.
