The Upper West Regional Police Command has revealed that it arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a 29-year-old Fulani herdsman, Demo Jeti on August 30, 2022.
The revelation was contained in a news release issued by the Head of Public Affairs, C/Inspr Gideon Ohene Boateng on Sunday, September 4, 2022, and copied to Info Radio.
According to the release, the suspects, John Dakurah, Numbuzie Chawinaa and Tankpare Sylvester were arrested from their hideouts in Kuntaali village, in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region, for their alleged involvement in the murder.
Preliminary investigations, according to the police, indicate that the deceased took his cattle to the Kuntaali bush for grazing on the morning of 1st July 2022, but only the cattle returned home later that day without him.
The lifeless body of the deceased was later found lying in between Charri and Kuntaali villages. The body was deposited at the Upper West Regional Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the deceased’s family for burial.
The police assured that the suspects in custody will be processed before the court to face the justice of the law.
